Free AML/CTF foundation training
Australia’s AML/CTF regime now reaches lawyers, conveyancers, accountants, real estate professionals and dealers. Foundations gives you and your team a first, honest grounding in it — 15 short video lessons, assessed, with a certificate at the end. Free for everyone, no card required.
What you learn
The regime, from the beginning
Why Australia has an anti-money-laundering regime, the three harms it exists to stop, and how the framework fits together. Start here if this is new to you. Every lesson quotes the law on screen and names the sections it rests on, so you are never asked to take a claim on trust.

Fair questions
- Is it actually free?
- Yes. Module A — Foundations is free and stays free: all 15 lessons, every quiz, the module checkpoint and the module certificate. You need an account and nothing else — no card details, no trial period that runs out.
- Why is it free?
- The AML/CTF regime reached tens of thousands of businesses — many of them small firms — on 1 July 2026, and everyone in those businesses now needs a first honest grounding in it. We would rather that grounding be good and free than gated. The rest of the course is how we earn a licence fee.
- Do I get anything to show for it?
- Completing the module — every lesson watched, every quiz passed, and the 12-question checkpoint passed at 80% — earns a serial-numbered Foundations module certificate that anyone can verify by its QR code.
- How long will it take?
- There are 15 lessons and 56 minutes of video, each lesson a few minutes long. Do it in one sitting or across a week of coffee breaks — progress is saved, and the course reopens exactly where you stopped.
When Foundations has done its job, the rest of the course is there — seven more modules through the law, setting up, customer due diligence, reporting and your sector’s starter kit, at AUD $199 + GST per learner for 12 months. See the whole Academy.
